Parallel resonant circuit converter in transistor technology
This type of converter combines the advantages of a parallel resonant circuit arrangement (the inverter carries almost only the active current) and a voltage intermediate circuit (the rectifier is always fully open).
It is mainly used in crucible furnaces, channel furnaces and converter-fed billet heating systems.
The power is controlled via the inverter control, the inverter frequency follows the resonance frequency of the oscillating circuit, which depends on the amount of capacitors and the furnace filling.
The converter can be equipped with HSG technology.
